美国密歇根大学来北京University of Michigan in Beijing, USA

上世纪末,随着光电技术的进步,人类进入了显微外科手术时代。所谓显微外科手术 (microsurgery) 是指在手术放大镜 (operating loupe) 或手术显微镜 (operating microscope) 辅助下,应用精细的手术器械和材料进行手术操作的一种外科技术。显微外科技术使外科手术从宏观领域扩展到微观领域,使传统手术方式无法完成的细小血管神经的吻合成为现实,是人类外科手术的一次革命。显微外科手术代表未来外科手术发展的方向。

  显微外科手术必须使用特殊的医疗器械。为了深入了解显微外科手术的现状,评估医疗器械在显微外科手术中的作用以及如何对医疗器械进行改进、革新等,美国密歇根大学成立专门课题组,分赴世界各主要开展相关调查研究。

    由安妮塔博士带领的赴中国医疗调查小组于2011年8月抵达北京同济医院,现场观摩了北京同济医院的男科显微手术,并与北京同济医院专家进行座谈,详细了解了北京同济医院所开展的男科显微手术术式、优势,并就男科显微手术的现状、显微设备、手术器械的更新及发展前景进行了探讨。
据悉,本次课题组阵容强大,小组成员中有从事临床医疗的,也有从事机械工程学、生物工程学、电气和计算机工程研究的。小组负责人安妮塔博士曾在白宫实习,并在印度的拉贾斯坦邦的国务大臣的身边工作过。

    课题组此前已奔赴京、沪、广等多个城市,拜访了包括301医院在内的国内多家权威医院,了解了各医院显微外科手术开展及医疗器械使用情况。本次他们之所以选择了北京同济医院,是因为北京同济医院是国内早开展显微手术的专业男科医院,在手术专家水平、显微设备、医疗器械、手术效果方面都处于业内地位。

At the end of the last century, with the advancement of optoelectronic technology, humanity entered the era of microsurgery. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the current status of microsurgery, evaluate the role of medical devices in microsurgery, and explore ways to improve and innovate medical devices, the University of Michigan in the United States has established a specialized research group to conduct relevant investigations and studies in major countries around the world.

The medical investigation team led by Dr. Anita arrived at Tongji Hospital in Beijing in August 2011 to observe the male microsurgical procedures at the hospital. They had discussions with experts from Tongji Hospital to gain a detailed understanding of the surgical techniques and advantages offered by the hospital. They also discussed the current status, equipment, and surgical instruments used in male microsurgical procedures, as well as their development prospects.

It is reported that the research team has a strong lineup, including members engaged in clinical medicine, as well as those engaged in mechanical engineering, bioengineering, electrical and computer engineering research. Dr. Anita, the leader of the group, has interned at the White House and worked alongside the Secretary of State in Rajasthan, India.

The research team has previously traveled to multiple cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, visiting authoritative hospitals in China, including 301 Hospital, to understand the development of microsurgery and the use of medical equipment in each hospital. The reason why they chose Beijing Tongji Hospital this time is that Beijing Tongji Hospital is a professional male hospital that has carried out microsurgery early in China, and is in a leading position in the industry in terms of surgical expertise, microscopic equipment, medical devices, and surgical outcomes.
